Parker J. Palmer
Parker J. Palmer is a author, speaker, and activist on points in training, group, management, spirituality, and social change. Founder and Senior Associate Emeritus of the Middle for Braveness & Renewal, he holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the College of California at Berkeley, 13 honorary doctorates, two Distinguished Achievement Awards from the Nationwide Academic Press Affiliation, and an Award of Excellence from the Related Church Press.
Palmer is the creator of ten books—together with a number of award-winning titles—which have bought over 1.5 million copies and been translated into ten languages: On the Brink of Every little thing, Therapeutic the Coronary heart of Democracy, The Coronary heart of Greater Schooling (with Arthur Zajonc), The Braveness to Educate, and extra.
In 1998, a nationwide survey of 10,000 educators named Palmer one of many thirty “most influential senior leaders” in greater training and one of many ten key “agenda-setters” of the last decade. Palmer and his spouse Sharon stay in Madison, Wisconsin.
